Where to Spark Up on Your Vegas Vacation: A Comprehensive Guide to Smoking Marijuana in Sin City

You might be curious if you can smoke weed in Vegas. Can you take out your spliff and enjoy anywhere or do you have to be careful? This article is to help you understand where and when you are allowed to smoke in Vegas for your next trip.

The Green Blazer is local to Las Vegas so our team definitely knows the ins and outs of smoking in the valley.

Can you smoke in Las Vegas Hotels or Local Bars?

The Nevada Clean Air Act makes it legal for you to smoke tobacco outside in Las Vegas, but weed is a different story. You are not allowed to smoke weed in any area that is defined as a public area. This means that really the only way that you can smoke in a hotel is if you are on the balcony. Make sure to book a room with a balcony because  this will allow you to smoke in a non-public area. Local bars are not allowed to let you smoke marijuana indoors so if you want a spliff, take a walk outside the bar to enjoy your weed.

What about Las Vegas day/night clubs?

Even though some clubs do allow an outdoor area, all clubs do not allow weed. This is a big problem for tourists who believe that they can smoke weed in a club. If you are going out, don’t bring your weed because you risk having to throw away your product.

Where can I smoke indoors?

So, where can you legally smoke marijuana in Las Vegas? The easiest and most convenient option is to stay at a marijuana-friendly hotel or Airbnb. These accommodations are specifically designed for marijuana users and often have designated smoking areas or even private smoking rooms. This allows you to enjoy your cannabis in the comfort and privacy of your own space.

Another option is to visit a marijuana dispensary and purchase marijuana to consume in a private residence. Keep in mind that you must be 21 or older to purchase marijuana in Nevada, and you are only allowed to possess up to one ounce of marijuana at a time.

Finally, it's important to note that while marijuana may be legal in Nevada, it is still illegal under federal law. This means that you cannot bring marijuana across state lines or onto federal land, such as national parks. It's also worth noting that marijuana is not allowed at casinos or on the Las Vegas Strip, so be sure to consume it only in designated areas or private spaces.

With these guidelines in mind, you can enjoy your marijuana on your Vegas vacation and do so safely and legally. Happy smoking!
